Financial & Insurance

It is our mission to provide you with affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget! We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs.

For those in a position to pay the fee in full, we offer a bookkeeping courtesy discount. We also offer in-house, interest-free financing – often times with little or no down payment. You will have a monthly payment over a period of up to 20 months with no interest or finance charges.

You can choose to receive a monthly statement and pay with cash, check or credit card. We also offer auto-draft of your monthly payment from a checking or savings account or credit card, saving you time and postage.

Outside financing companies are a great way to get a low monthly payment and allow treatment to start immediately. Outside financing companies offer additional options, such as no-interest financing over 24 months, as well as financing up to 60 months with interest charges based on your credit history. Many do not charge a pre-payment penalty, so we have had families start with outside financing and then pay the account off sooner with income tax refunds, etc. in order to save on interest. For more information, please see the Chase Health Advance and SpringStone websites.

If you have any questions about financing or payment, ask us! We will thoroughly explain your choices and work hard to accommodate your needs.

Insurance

If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Many insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance.

We accept assignment for most major insurance carriers. Prior to your appointment, we will contact your insurance carrier to determine the amount they expect to pay for your orthodontic care. This amount is subtracted from your total treatment fee, and we submit all the paperwork necessary to be reimbursed.

Insurance policies vary, so we can only estimate your coverage in good faith but cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts. Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child.

If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, we will submit new claims for you to determine if you are eligible for further benefits. Please know that the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Flexible Spending Accounts (or FSA’s) offered through many employers can be another vehicle to help you meet your financial obligation. FSA’s allow you to put aside pre-tax dollars to be used for medical and dental expenses. Because the money goes in pre-tax, you will reduce your overall out-of-pocket costs for orthodontic treatment. Unlike other health-related expenses, orthodontic treatment is a “planned” event, and therefore our staff can help you estimate how much money to set aside each year in your FSA so that no funds will be lost.
